Please join St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church and ACCORD, Inc. as we welcome Dr. Harelle Duncan. Dr. Duncan recently went on a Mission Trip to Haiti, June 12-19th, 2010 with colleagues from Charlotte, NC. While in Haiti, Dr. Duncan provided medical aide and comfort to victims of the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. Dr. Duncan will give her firsthand account of the devastation she witnessed on her venture back to her mother country.
Dr. Harelle Duncan is a native of Haiti who immigrated to Florida at the age of nine. She completed elementary, middle, and high school in Miami, Florida.
Her journey in academics took her to the University of Florida where she received a Bachelors degree in Microbiology in May 2001 and Master Degree in Public Health in August 2002. Dr. Duncan attended Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, from September 2002 through May 2006. She completed her post graduate training in Internal Medicine, including internship and residency, at Mercer University Memorial Hospital in Savannah Georgia from July 2006 through June 2009.
Dr. Duncan is board certified and licensed in the states of Florida and Georgia. After completing her training, her desires to be closer to family propelled her to move back to Florida. She currently works for Cogent Healthcare at Shands Jacksonville as a hospitalist.
Dr. Duncan is the daughter-in-law of ACCORD's President, Gwendolyn Duncan. She currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida with her husband Zebulun Duncan, whom she met while attending the University of Florida.
